The Origin Story of Galentine’s Day

We’re forever grateful for the writer of Park and Rec, Michael Schur, who first dreamed up Galentine’s Day way back in 2009. In the second season of the show, Leslie Knope, played by the ever-loveable Amy Poehler, gets all her besties together –including her mom– for a special Galentine’s brunch complete with gifts. They chat about their best romances and shared stories of their lives as they bonded over the beauty that is breakfast food.
